Job Overview:
To effectively manage the IT team to ensure the business continuity of all computer data, telecommunication and networking services for computer users throughout the organization through strategic planning, technical leadership and project coordination. This position requires practical hands-on experience and the ability to forecast technology trends.

Responsibilities:
– Delivering information systems and technology services uptime consistent with the strategic plan through application systems and network services.
– Ensuring the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
– Responding to IT needs of other departments.
– Maintaining a complete understanding of the IT needs throughout the organization.
– Developing and maintaining a working technology dashboard for senior management that details projects status, upcoming milestones, and impending issues and risk.
– Designing, configuring, installing and maintaining LAN hardware, software and telecommunications services such as PCs, system software, software applications, printers, servers, etc.
– Installing, upgrading and configuring network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software and files services.
– Serving as contact for network users and communicate with other departments to resolve hardware and software issues.
– Researching, evaluating and managing the implementation of new technologies into production.

Qualifications
– Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory administration and architecture design. Must be proficient in AD and be able to diagnose DNS communication issues using tools such as DCDIAG, NETDOM.
– Be able to manage Windows DNS and familiar with different DNS record types. Be able to identify and implement Microsoft best practices as they relate to global AD deployment (spreading FSMO roles across DC to ensure continuity).
– The ideal candidate will have an active Microsoft Windows Server certification such as MSCE, MCSA, etc.
– Must have extensive experience with enterprise WAN networking. Specifically in IPSec point-to-point VPN connections to remote location.
– Familiarity with security controls such as network and Microsoft Windows ACL*s.
– Proficient in Microsoft Windows DFS,
– SQL-HA concepts and operations a plus.
– Experience designing and managing disaster recovery and hot site redundancy. Must have experience supporting enterprise-level backup programs (CA-XO, Tivoli, Symantec Backup Exec).
– Extensive experience supporting Active Directory computing environments.
– Experience with enterprise class storage solutions (LUN, LUN allocation for VM ESX).
– Working knowledge of fiber channel switching technologies (FCoE, Fiber Channel iSCSI), storage and switching technologies.
– Working knowledge of PERL or WMI scripting for automation of software deployment or familiarity with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager for software deployment.
– Working knowledge designing, deploying and or managing a vertically integrated Cisco Unified Communication System or other VoIP system.
– Working knowledge of IT governance and compliance best practices (ITIL, COBIT, SAS 70).
– Working knowledge of project management and risk assessment concepts.
– Ability to travel up to 25%.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field required with minimum 8-10 years of solid experience in different facets of IT operations.
– Certification in Microsoft Windows Server (MSCE, MCSA) and Cisco-based CCNA/CCNE highly desired.
– Strong verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills.
