Java (Back End) Software Developer

Candidate will work on team of developers to support major brokerage clients.

Required Skills:
• Programmer with minimum 3-6 years experience with Java, Unix shell scripts and PL/SQL programming
• Experience with Weblogic, Oracle and UNIX is a plus.
• Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot existing code and make modifications to remedy issues.
• Must be able to review business/functional requirements, and provide detailed design specifications and estimates of work required.
• Ability to translate project design into code, working within an existing Java framework
• Must meet tight deadlines and work on several projects simultaneously
• Must be able to work within a team environment as well as work independently on projects.
• Excellent oral/written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Will consider other J2EE and SQL server experience for the right candidate.
• A background in financial/brokerage industry is a plus.

• Experience with Agile Scrum and general understanding of with Agile engineering practices (continuous integration, automated testing, automated builds, ant/maven, xUnit testing, etc.) are pluses.
