Skills and Requirements
* Must have at least two years experience of LAMP development experience
* Experience building large, consumer-facing web site
* Strong experience in PHP, LAMP stack, scalability, AJAX. Nice to have includes JQuery, CSS, Java, and database design/development.
* Experience and understanding of technology related to analytics, advertising, SEO, and usability.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to provide thought leadership in technology and design
* Experience with frameworks such as MVC, Drupal, Kohana, CakePHP, and Joomla
* Experience with sound development practices such as source control, unit test, continuous integration, and code reviews
* BA/BS degree in Design, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Full Time Front End PHP Developer NYC

Description
This position will be a part of the Web Development team, and be responsible for front-end development on websites owned by the company.

Primary Responsibilities

Full Time PHP Developer NYC

The Web Application Developer is integral to the development and production of all ongoing Digital work. The candidate will participate and play a key role in all aspects of the website and the scientific database development process. Create conceptual wireframes and compositions; Develop dynamic applications from the ground up, PHP Scripting for data collection and interactive components. Strong Multitasking and interpersonal skills required to properly plan and manage multiple concurrent projects and interface with stakeholders. Strong ability to accept and carry out related tasks and duties, as requested by management.

Specific Responsibilities
• Develop web applications using PHP/MySQL
• Work with tech lead to architect and plan projects and databases.
• Develop web pages using HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX
• Manage Webtrends tracking system.
• Maintain current systems including content management systems, Subversion repository and other applications as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
• 3-5 years of LAMP development.
• Object oriented programming experience.
• Ability to accurate estimate design and development timelines.
• 3+ years of experience with front-end development (HTML,CSS,Javascript)
• 3+ years experience using an established content management system such as Drupal, WordPress, and/or Percussion Rhythmyx is a plus.
• 3+ years of database design and administration. MYSQL strongly preferred.
• Experience with source control systems, Subversion specifically.
• Experience working with and managing relationships with 3rd party vendors.
• Familiarity with Java.
• Familiarity with web services technology.

Unix San Engineer FT in Philadelphia PA

POSITION PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Lead Systems Engineer and Director, Network Systems & Operations, this position is responsible for system administration primarily within the Unix environment and supports critical applications such as Lawson, Oracle/PeopleSoft, and IBM software and hardware. This position will also provide backup support for the database, Citrix, VMware and Microsoft environments. SPECIFIC DUTIES: • Serves as supporting team member for all UNIX, Windows, Database, PeopleSoft and Lawson systems. • Provides system administration coverage during the day time, after regular business hours, and holidays. • Supports Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, preparation and testing for all critical systems noted within the Business Continuity Plan. • Performs system maintenance, upgrades, and operating system and application patching as needed. • Provides technical administration and monitoring coverage across all storage subsystems. Effectively works with network administrators to support and troubleshoot storage related issues. • Assesses preliminary problem issues and effectively communicates them to the appropriate technical support team member and IT management. • Processes jobs through the computer systems utilizing available documentation and controls and according to schedule, performs output distribution as required. • Monitors computer systems, network servers, communication systems, and related equipment to ensure availability when required. These systems include multiple servers located in the Data Operations Center and Co-location Data Center. • Records all hardware and software problems reported by staff in the problem tracking tool and refers incidents requiring escalated attention to the Lead Systems Engineer or Lead Network Engineer including IT management when appropriate. • Supports installations and configurations while maintaining all releases of operating systems and applications without disrupting the production environment. • Utilizes diagnostic and monitoring software to identify potential issues on a daily basis. • Assists with developing automated scripts for batch processing and staff notification • Maintains and manages the transfer of confidential data from third party vendors , adhering to HIPAA guidelines and The Board of Pensions security policies. • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, BEHAVIORS & WORK HABITS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) preferred or equivalent related experience.
• Unix, Linux and SQL Server certifications a plus.
• Working knowledge and understanding of IBM DS4700 SAN and IBM N-Series Storage architectures.
• Minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated work experience in an IT environment, with at least 3-5 years working knowledge of UNIX (AIX), along with Windows, DB2 Database, Oracle/PeopleSoft, Lawson, VMware and Citrix.
• Working knowledge and understanding with IBM P Series Virtualization.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Windows Server 2003 and UNIX system administration, preferably AIX in an operational environment.
• Ability to work independently with flexibility in work assignments and be on-call on an as needed support basis.
• Ability to troubleshoot, isolate and describe problems to the team and escalate them to Sr. IT Management when necessary.
• Excellent analytical and technical problem solving skills.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as required as well as nights and weekends.
• Position requires occasional travel to a remote location with reliable means of transportation.

Synopsis of Position
Engineer will be required to design, implement and support all technologies related to Voice and VoIP Technologies. They will provide pre-sales support for all convergence technologies. Engineer will also be responsible for the following: PBX, IP Telephony, and Voice Mail. Engineer should possess knowledge in legacy TDM voice technologies. The Voice Engineer is expected to stay current with these technologies.

Required Skills
Candidate must have solid and successful experience in the disciplines defined above as well as excellent client interfacing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management. Knowledge of VoIP products a must (i.e. types of products – Cisco CUCM, IOS routers, Nortel CS1000 and legacy voice PBX vendors). Fluent English is required.
